Marvel at the pieces, but appreciate the whole. This isn’t a game that redefines the genre: this is one that rolls it up and locks it away. We’ve come so far, from stepping on mushrooms to drop-kicking meteors into the heart of the sun; Galaxy 2 offers a new understanding of where we’ve been, a new sense of wonder at where we’ll go next.

It'll be good to use the old Wii again. One for the shopping list methinks.

wow thats pretty awesome, i got my wii a few days ago and have been playing SMG and its a really great game, and now SMG2 is so close im getting pretty hyped up for it.

First impressions: Had a quick blast on it last night for about 20 minutes. The visuals look even more stunning than SMG1. I don't think the music on the first 3 levels is as good as SMG1, but there are plenty more to come, so I'm not going to judge just yet.

The co-op mode is a little bit more inclusive this time. P2 can play as a luma that follows Mario, which can collect coins and other goodies in addition to stars, and see off some of the smaller baddies. The mode where you can "freeze" the baddies for mario to deal with works a lot better too.

I see lots of time being wasted on this game

More thoughts when I've played it a bit more.

Got it today, but been playing other games (Darksiders/FF13) but hopefully going to get a chance soon

So far so good. Got 25 stars - it's noticeably harder than Galaxy 1, but then maybe I'm just out of practice. Love the yoshi chilli pepper power up.

I haven't played it for a bit, but I think I have 95 stars. Some levels are fiendish.

I picked this up over the weekend..super game and i agree it's much harder than the first one..great game..wish there were more like it on the Wii!
