XBOX 360 Red Ring of death..again

    Hello all,

So my XBOX 360 has RROD for the third time and quite frankly im getting sick of it, every time I send mine off for replacement/ repair, I am apparently sent a "new" console, yet a few months down the line, this crap happens again!.

I still want a 360 due to the amount of games I have for it.

But I have the following questions: -

Does the Elite offer better cooling?
Am I able to transfer stuff from one 360 HD to another?

Edit: - Nvm, quick google reveals it was an AV cable issue

The AV cable was lose in the back of the T.V is all, not sure how it happened.

I am considering going for an elite, its just whether I can transfer my saved games over and such

Your best waiting for the apparent revision coming later this year aren't you - CPU & GPU on one chip and Natal possibly built in, tee hee.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Re: XBOX 360 Red Ring of death..again

My mate went through the same thing, complained like crazy for a few days then realised the AV cable wasn't plugged in, plonker ^^
Never had a RROD myself, have had several disc drives go though!

I have a transfer kit if you so wish to borrow it at some point.

I got mine free from MS, I just rang them up and asked for one and they sent it out without question.
Some people have said that they aren't free anymore - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976183/ seems to confirm it.
As for the price, not a clue.

If you can, its probabily best to wait for the new hardware revison, my guess is MS probabily have an xbox 360 (slim/lite) coming out soon that will have better cooling and be more power efficient. Maybe more details will emerge at e3
