Rock Band on the Wii - cheapest way?

    Hiya,
I am after a Rock Band game and two guitars, or 'band in a box' but can't find any particularly good deals. I haven't got any kit at the moment.
What's the best value for money way of getting into it?

I would say get rock band with a guitar then buy guitar hero with a guitar it means you have 2 guitars as they are both compatible with each game and you get 2 games

If you go to the Rock Band website it shows you what accessories work with which games

Re: Rock Band on the Wii - cheapest way?

Do be sure to note that the cheapest way certainly won't be the best way with regard to Rock Band... a lot of the accessories out there have masses of problems and it really is pretty much a case of newer accessories having refined designs and as such being a hell of a lot better quality.

Not sure about for the Wii, but you can pick up Xbox version Rock Band 1 drum kits from HMV and a few other places for around the £10-20 mark - problem is these kits were hugely flawed (sensitivity issues, breaking pads, terrible kick pedals), don't have velocity sensitive pads like the new ones do and were wired. It's probably worth considering paying a bit extra to get quality equipment rather than doing what I did and going the el cheapo route, only to have to buy a new set in 3 months time when it inevitably breaks =/

EDIT: I just realised how old this topic is... you've probably already bought it by now but maybe this will be useful advice for people finding this topic in the future?
