USB video playback issues

Hi there,

Ever since I updated my firmware around Easter, I have experiences problems with video playback from my USB stick. Videos will suddenly close and bring me back to XMB, and if I try and fast forward it just crashes to XMB.

DVD and Bluray playback is fine . Could it just be a coincidence and my USB stick is dead?

Have you tried playing the movies from your PC via the USB stick? My PS3 firmware is up to date and I haven't experienced the same issues.

I have tried that and havn't experienced any issues. I have even formatted the stick multiple times and tried differant videos

It's just bizzare, as it worked perfectly fine until I upgraded the firmware.
