    DS Save game help

I've just got my own DS Lite, and am surprised to see that you can't save your files on a separate memory card. I can't really understand the logic of it, but anyway...

Researching this, it seems the only way I can keep my save files without the game is to download illegal ROMs, which is something that I have no interest in at all.

Please can someone tell me how I can solve this problem. It's almost as if Nintendo WANT me to break the law!! All I want is to keep my save files. Help!

    Re: DS Save game help

Games are saved onto the cart they come on. The DS have no support for other memory cards or anything like that.

As you are a new member, I'll just let you know that there is to be no discussion of anything illegal on these forums, so any discussion on the subject could earn you a ban.

Well normally it wouldn't be an issue, as you have to have the cartridge to play the game and that is also where the data is saved.

I'm assuming that you are hiring games, and want to be able to save those? If so, that is the price you pay for hiring instead of buying.

    Re: DS Save game help

Funkster: Don't worry I had no intention of discussing anything illegal, made that pretty clear in my post

Flash477: Yeah I rent games, but also share games with family.

So the DS is the only system to not be able to save externally? Very strange. To avoid illegal downloads etc Nintendo should've required the game to be in the DS, but have a memory card slot too. Ah well.
