How active are you playing Wii Sports?

Are you one of these people that really go for it, huge OTT movements, or are you a flick of the wrist type?

My missus is an 'OTTer' - I genuinely fear for the light when we put bowling on I really do... I'm far, far calmer and I think do better as a result since I can actually keep control of my arm.

Still, I don't say anything since these OTT movements get the blood pumping and probably are a good form of mild exercise. Has anyone seen any studies on the effects of Wii Sports and fitness? I'm tempted to chuck a heart rate monitor on her and see how 30 mins of Boxing compares to other forms of mild exercise!

    Im pretty nuts playing it.

Think i`ve bust a controller now though playing tennis. THe controller seems to cut out randomly during matches.

Started playing the boxing last week and that is really knackiering. Its annoying that its not quite accurate enough but its a good work out

Semi really, golf I can play sitting down but the rest I do stand up and get into it but not crazily so.

Its hardest on Baseball as it really starts to hurt the arms after a couple of hours.

Here's a link to a page of a guy who lost about nine pounds just by playing wii sports for half an hour every day.

It depends which I'm playing; tennis I've found myself more effective when I just give it a little flick of the wrist, so I don't bother getting up and waving the Wiimote around like an idiot. Golf, on the other hand, I tend to play standing up so I can actually pretend I'm playing.

I do fear for the safety of my screen when allowing my friends to play Wii Sports, though; they're a lot more enthusiastic than I am and my Wiimotes have definitely taken a bit of a beating. >.<

I throw myself around a bit. My armpits really started to ache after playing bowling for too long

I'm a bit in the middle really. I'm not OTT in tennis, but it helps to get up and have the correct stance though - mind you, knowing thats its not the whole swing that determines your shot but just a short part of it helps too. But lets face it, its boring if you sit and just flick your wrist - I might as well play any other tennis game instead.

Bowling and Baseball are oither wii sports games that you can get into (baseball especially) but nothing so much that i would break anything...

Usually throw myself about, even when I'm in my room and there's only about 5ft between my screen and my bed. I do the controlled flick (ooh er, missus) sometimes but find it a lot more boring and tend to switch off after about 15 minutes.

I'm usually a sitting down and taking it easy kinda player, but if there's a high score or Pro status at stake then I'll be jumping around like a good un !

Did they just send you some for free and take the old one? Or did you keep the old one?
