    Tekken 6 - PS3 Based Arcade Board.

'So is Tekken 6 a PlayStation 3 game, or an arcade game? The answer will likely be both! The game will debut sometime in 2007 as the first arcade game to use a new arcade board based off the PlayStation 3 hardware. News of a PS3-based arcade board is news in of itself, as it's the first time such a project has been mentioned. Presumably, ports to the PS3 itself will be simple, meaning Tekken 6 is as good as confirmed for home release.' - IGN.

Cool, I'm sure it will be ace, would be nice though if it was a bit faster paced. The series seems to have slowed down in combat speed since number 3. Many a good time had on the tekken series from number 2 onwards kicking some ass It's a great step to be using console hardware for arcade machines, means conversions can be so much easier.

Tekken has always been the only fighting game I like.

I guess that'll be a rather expensive arcade board to produce..

With the majority of arcade games currently set to £1 a game (has this went up?), then i don't really see cost being an issue. Of course gone are the days when groups of us would congregate in arcades playing games, having SF2 or Tekken competitions (or even a marathon Double Dragon Session),when you can get far better games on your home console.... but then its not 20p a go either.

This is going to be ace.. and just as long as they don't screw up the character balance again like they did with Tekken 5 (which incidentally have to be solved by releasing Tekken 5.1)

I'm not entirely hyped about the whole arcade board thingy, but having another Tekken episode for me is always good news. If this works out to be as good as Tekken DR (arcade), PS3 is pretty much mine..

Anyone that has the intention to gather around for a weekend of Tekken would like to count me in!! ... well, as long as its within an hr drive..

    -- response to Dareos --
Well, i think playing in arcades is still a pretty popular for older tekken players like me. It makes things so much more fun, and you'd have to work DARN HARD to protect that 1 quid investment.. and I usually lose about 40 quid on each 6 hr seating with my mates.. .. and after which we're all darn poor and goes back to play with our PS2..

Tekken 3 is by far the best fighting game ever. A perfect balance of different characters and moves. In my humble opinion this can't be improved.

    -my 10cents..

Street Fighter II Turbo crushes all. Tekken is great though.

Still think the original Soul Calibur is the best, where's the almighty number 4!

Soul Calibur sort of got my attention, until the fact that it became abit too much like the VF series.. SC2 was a big step forward.. SC3, well, more like SC2.5

Tekken is the only biggest love I'll give.. second to VF and SC..

    DOA gets the sorry last..

Dead or alive is faster paced then tekken but I have more experience of the tekken series and it has a fairly good story underpining it all Can't wait to play this, sadly tekken 5 is the only tekken game I havent aced with a £1 credit, perhaps this could change with number 6 I was and still am a fan of tekken tag tournament, I doubt it will feature though in number 6

Something not quite right when a fighting game has a character with a shotgun who then gets it out and fires off a couple of rounds into you ...
