Cosford Airshow 2007

Last weekend I visited RAF Cosford for the annual airshow, weather was awful in the morning, with a very low cloud base (~1000ft) and a murky fog all around. The afternoon was blazing sunshine and meant I was shooting into the sun as the aircraft came from right to left. This made things difficult from the off, and being my first show with a 20D I was learning every minute. Here are a few shots from the day. Any comments welcome.

Thanks, there are some duff ones! Took about 200 shots over the day and I've come out with around 20 I'm happy with and have edited. Those are just a random few.

went to atc camp many moons ago and we visted cosford for flying iirc

Cosford is local to me, but I was ill on the day. Plenty of sky action from home though

Also had 2 Spits or Hurricanes fly over a few days after the event but no camera handy

Next year !!

my faves are 2 & 6, the rest just dont do it for me due to composition and lack of colour/contrast i'm afraid

Thanks for your comments guys, kind and fair and will be taken on board. The typhoon shots need a little more work and they are heavy crops anyway so aren't as sharp as Id like, but curves will get them some way there as has been pointed out.

Getting away from the haze was difficult hence the lack of colour in some shots even with the saturation bumped up a tad. Am pleased with it being a first go at shooting this type of event; Always room for improvement!

Nice shots fella, I personaly like 6 & 7 off the bat and 1 with the air guys in there too; good stuff.
