    Re: Adobe Courses

You must be rich bobby old boy, £200 is still £200, regardless of whether you just forked out £600. I think the point where I can afford to throw away £200 (which I think is where my wife currently is given her recent shopping sprees) is the point at which I can afford to hire somebody else to do my graphic work for me

Unless of course you're implying that esteemed Hexus member Kobestarr might be using pirated software? That'd just be cheeky....

    Re: Adobe Courses

Look at it this way, you forked out 600 so it'd be a while before you can fork out £200. I'm in pretty much the same boat after forking out on my gear and have to wait months to gather up lens

    Re: Adobe Courses

well i guess there is always the manual, unless Adobe have decided not to give it away with the software with their more recent versions..

its not just 600 tho' is it.. Premiere is what € 1,027.29, After Effects is € 1,571.79 and then CS is € 833.69, so whats another 200 on that ?

    Re: Adobe Courses

    Hey there!

I got them from my friend who has upgraded to the CS3 and given me his copy of CS2 - is that illegal?

He doesn't know of any courses and learnt to use adobe whilst at university for his course.

I have taken a few pointers from him but as he learnt in such an organic way he kinda just does things and doesnt really know why and finds it difficult to explain why and how. I was asking for your advice because every time i try and use photoshop i get really confused.

Are there courses for £200 for a weekend? If so where and with who? Honestly - i dont know where ive been looking but the ones ive found are £500 for two days at best - mainly because peoples companies ply for them.

As an individual thats just a little more than id ideally pay for! I dunno how much spare cash you guys have lying around!!

So if you could give me any advice that would be great!! any courses/ online or books would be great

    K

    I would think so yes.
Upgrading is exactly that, upgrading the existing license, it doesn't turn one license into 2.
You still only have the one license between you

    Re: Adobe Courses

however if your friend has a company and you work for that company, you can have it on 2 different computers (just not use it at the same time )

    Re: Adobe Courses

Good-Tutorials / Photoshop Tutorials + Flash Tutorials, for all the tutorials in the world, gives you ALOT of help on doing virtually anything in CS2/3, free of course

    Learning @ Your Own Pace® - lynda.com

highly suggest it, though some of the tutorials are boring, the video courses are much more fun than reading from a book or reading tutorials. prices are decent aswell
