    Sanyo HD700?

    Hey,

Im going to buy this week a HD camcorder/hybrid for recording the family holiday!

Ive read around reviews etc, and from what ive seen the Sanyo HD700 at £230 seems a good buy. Does anyone have any experience of these?, as im not sure which one yet the Toshiba H10 comes out soon.

    Thanks in advance

Spec-wize, we're looking at an 8.0 megapixel 1/2.5-inch CMOS sensor, SD/SDHC support, 5x optical zoom, 2.7-inch LCD, face tracking, and easier to use drag-and-drop to pull AVC/H.264 video from the camera to your PC. We'll have to wait for the reviews to know for sure but it looks like Sanyo just made one of the best 720p camcorders even better. On sale in Japan on August 22nd for ¥50,000 (about $463)
So although the HD700 is the best currently on the market in this segment, there is a newer betterer version on its way.

Really tempted with th esound of the 800 myself actually. Oh, and it comes in black or gold too, not just pink.

    Re: Sanyo HD700?

I picked up an HD700 and I can confirm that you won't be disappointed. It's definitely worth the money it's going for now.

I found this thread very useful back when I was considering buying mine:

£220 is very good I have to say, although you also have to include an extra memory card or two

Sorry, I don't - the biggest I've used so far is a 4 gig one.
