    There seems to be lots of stock of the 1000D at other places, so I'd be a bit careful - especially if they conveniently happen to have Asian stock. Are you confident in the warranty that this company will offer you? (Don't rely on warranty from Canon for an import).

    Personally I would ask for a refund and get the UK/European model somewhere else.
    If they are a reputable company they should do this pretty quickly, but if you have any problems ring up the card company/bank and cancel the payment.

    Thanks - confirmed my gut instinct, just sent the reply saying I don't want it - the payment was actually through PayPal so hopefully should be OK for the refund.
