Audio system - Unsure

Hey All,

first post! Quick question here to start me off. i'm looking at buying a new home audio system to go with my new TV (Samsung : Black).

Ideally I want to be able to input sound from my 360 or PS3 as well as my Sky HD too. anyone know of any system or could recomend? Ive got around £400 to spend

Are you looking for a surround sound set-up?
Do you want an all-in-one setup or a standalone unit and speakers?
How many HDMI inputs do you need? At least 3 I guess.
Are you going to be using Bluray in the lifetime of the system, and if so do you want support for HD audio?
Do you have any speakers you could use as part of the system?

Answers to these questions will help us make recommendations.

at least 3 HDMI (PS3, Xbox, sky HD).
HD audio is required
Yes I currently use my PS3 as the blu-ray player.
Yes i have some speakers and a subwoofer already on my PC

Okay, first off, computer surround sound systems are normally not going to cut it for home cinema purposes - what exactly have you got?

Creative 5.1s is all that i know. i've had them for some time though (about 3 years or so.

I assume that that will be a stand-alone system, and wont be suitable for home cinema use.
Have you got speakers with an existing cd stereo or anything?
