    Magic

Hot on the heels of my latest DVD purchase (currently back-ordered ) what are the movies that will ever remain with you? Movies that inspired you, changed you, that are a piece of who you are. The classics, but not just classics, ones that were/are a part of your history.

The Karate Kid - who didn't want to rise above your problems with the friendship of a cool, slightly mysterious mentor, learn marital arts, defeat your enemies, win and defend the girl, and have a rollicking 80's soundtrack in the background? And if you're too full of yourself to admit all that, you will at least have done the crane kick once or twice, perhaps while balancing on a bollard.

Personally I'd have to say bambi! Man I cried like a baby ... well at the time I was a baby so hey! And the matrix made me think outside the box and then I realised that there was no box!

Being a girl who grew up in the 80's the films from my 'youthier' days which will live with me forever (which I have on DVD and know backwards) are.....
Grease, Dirty Dancing and Top Gun!
My most favourite love film - which makes me cry, is City of Angels and too will live with me forever...
And my most favourite cult film, full of attitude and totally ROCKS is Pulp Fiction!

Also waiting for the LOTR trilogy to come out as a complete set boxette type thingy - then they will be in my 'forever' collection too!

(Also gotta wait for my Birthday - so I can actually watch my DVD's again, my lovely sisters are getting me a new DVD player! )

Could list many more films that I absolutely adore, but decided not to waffle on for too long!

Matrix really got me thinking and my science teacher even used it to help explain 'string theory'! Matrix was definately an amazing film. Very imaginitive.

Oh and the movie which is like our 'family' movie - you know the one that you all grew up watching and that you all love for no apparent reason other than it reminds you of the 'family' days is Arthur with Dudley Moore!!

Dont ask why - it just is!! We quote it all the time, and it makes us all laugh (no-one else has the foggiest what we are going on about tho!!)

Transformers the movie is definitely top of my list - i just love those days, brings a smile to myself everytime i watch it, just reminds me so much of care free days when i was a kid and had no stresses or responsibilities. Other films like that for me would be The Goonies, BMX Bandits, and Tron to name a few
