Wow setting up the man cave
Wow setting up the man cave
TV has arrived, got a rather large box in the front hall atm.
Its a tad late to be pulling things out of boxes and messing around........
no, it really is....
....
I won't be able to sleep now dammit!!!
...
No Galaxy Tab as yet
Tab has arrived, little bigger than a phone, seems a pretty nifty device, controls tv and various other bits and bobs without any downloads.
Project is now on hold while i complete Angry Birds....
could be a while
Actually project is nearly complete. TV is in place, Speakers are wired up, AV unit is connected to PS3, Xbox (temporarily) Popcorn Hour, V+ Box (tech required to resolve issue with this). TV is wirelessly connected to router, as is everything else in house now, except kettle.
Stand came, was built, added last piece to find it was broken, waiting on replacement, promised by end of week.
This hasn't stopped me getting the setup mic out and making sure the calibration is right on the speakers, and then firing up a few films.
result - wow
happy camper
Just to sort out the look of the thing now, trunking for the cables, stand built and in place and V+ working. Pics will be posted then
let us know how it sounds in 3 months when the speakers are broken in
the q kits the gift that keeps on giving!

off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.
What was the V+ issue? I had our V+ (and the Tivo now) going through an AV amp with no issue...
Will do Gonz, but they sound damn good atm
Smudger, it was a connection thing, the upstairs junction box didnt have a signal going to one of the outputs, tech stuck a splitter on the modem line, all fine
Room almost complete, have a few things I want to remove, and theres room for a few new additions as time goes on, but this is the nearly finished product.
