Wowee!! That's a beast!
If you want to go 7.2 and need more PMC mounts give me a shout I've got 5 lying a round in a box.
Butuz
Well you don't muck about do you?
I bet that is going to be rather epic when installed!
Hopefully epic, I'll be gutted otherwise hah!
No real chance of 7 channels Butuz, the room really doesn't allow it unless I had Wafers on the back wall. Appreciate the offer though
I have the tw-5900 which is pretty bright in daylight, epic at night so I guess the 9000 would be pretty amazing.
The 5900 doesn't have the lens shift so I have mine sat on a set of shelfs, about 4.5ft high. Works nicely with an image from the mantel piece to the coving. Still working on a screen (mine just uses the wall at the moment) but we are looking to move next year so it might wait til then.
Talking of projecting onto a wall...
That was it straight onto a magnolia wall in full brightness mode. Absolutely ridiculously good.
cool film choice as well.
Looks good, love the colours. Always been a big fan of feature walls in a darker contrast colour to the rest of the room.
Screen install occurred today. PJ tomorrow
Wires are all hidden now as well into the ceiling cavity.
Pic is during install - will put finished pics up tomorrow.
So, finished pics. Apologies for the poor quality, they didn't come out too well off the phone.
So - screen up with cables hidden away, 5.1 array put back into place:
Epson TW-9000 at the other end of the ceiling installed flush with all cables hidden away:
After a little bit of tinkering to put the image on the screen, correct zoom etc, basic brightness and the like sorted and we get:
The image is absolutely square - that pic has something on the right hand side of the shot making it look like it's on an angle but it's bob on despite the flush fit.
Pleased would be an understatement

Very very nice.
Now you'll discover there's not enough worth watching on it
Stonkingly nice!
great stuff, glad the keystones ok with the flush mount
keep on top of the filter cleaning m8
you don't want dust in those expensive optics!

That reminds me, there's not a paper manual in the box - need to find where the filter is!
it's behind the front grill, looking at the lens when its upside down it will (should) be the left hand cover, look at it and you should see a tab to press in to pop the cover off.

Found it. Nice and simple
