    King Authur

I quite enjoyed this film. Although not exactly true to the legends its an interesting interpretation of the story. Authur and his knights are roman soldiers who are sent on one final mission before being granted their freedom.

As normal for a Bruckheimer film is has a big budget and is fairly easy going. It's pretty well acted and has good battle scenes. Keira Knightly is as good and beautiful as ever.

An entertaining movie although possibly a bit unmemorable. 6 out of 10

I watched the trailer for this..

apparently.. it aint trying to tell the story of the legend, but the lead up to the legend.. if you take the words from the trailer itself "This is not about the legend of Arthur.. this is the true story that inspired the legend.." kinda gives it a bit of a twist I feel. Anyway - going to see it on Saturday looks good from what i've seen.

Does it include the bit about the adder? A useful fable on the cause of modern warfare I believe...

Looks alright from what I've seen on the trailer. Can't help but imagine it's going to be one heck of a cheese monger, but we get that with most hollywood films now anyway.

Gonna leave it a couple of weeks so that I don't have to sit near any popcorn munching idiots.

well, I think that's ok, cos from what the trailer said - it's NOT the legend as we know it.. ie getting the sword out of the stone (not Excalibur btw - he got that from the lady in the lake ) but the "real" story that inspired the legend. Gives them a whooole new way to interpret just about everything...... quite a wise move if you ask me.

Saw it last night. 7/10 easily. You will definately enjoy this flick. Not a typical King Arthur story. The plot is loose interpretation of the legend. Go see it!

I didnt realise the plot was Roman Soldier based...cunning.

I'd rather have had them as English Knights from the Crusades, all battle wearied and sun tanned, but hey ho.....

I havent seen it, but having seen a few of the trailers I must say it looks quite good.

    BUT

As attractive as the lovely Kiera is, the prospect of watching her waif-like character hacking and slashing her way through dozens of burly foot-soldiers a little far-fetched.

    :-S

    Saw it.

Pretty meh tbh. The fight scenes just seemed to pale in comparrision to LOTR but that was probably to be expected!

And I had to wait for an entire hour for ms. knightly to come on screen! What is this travasty?!

Least the big guy with all his little barstewards was cool
