    The man is a legend and a national institution. He will be missed for sure. I will listen to some music tonight in tribute to the man who championed music, especially rare and often unheard of genres...

    A sad, sad loss...

    Truly a great man. I was so shocked when I heard. And so sad. There is nobody that could ever fill John's shoes. Whether it be for his support of the music scene, or his ability to make you agree with everything he said on 'Grumpy Old Men'. To his heartwarming show 'Home Truths' on Radio 4, which I always enjoyed immensely.
