'You know I love you but...'
Sometimes (just sometimes) I get the feeling that you write these comments out in Latin on a slate (or perhaps using a hammer and chisel) and that you then have one or more minions translate and transcribe them into English and onto the internet.
(meant in the nicest possible way)
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and what the picture is like out of the box. If you're a noob to this sort of thing (although I doubt it considering your skill with a camera) you may find this useful.

You mean an HD TV? with high resolution display? Yes, we just bought one.
OK, Ive had a few days to watch my new beastie now and I am still very impressed.
Picture is really lush and I don't use that word very often, colours are deep and full, very vibrant, but not OTT. Blacks and completely black, quite a novelty for me and whites are brilliant without being blown out.
Motion is good, with only very slight - well, blurring isn't quite the right word, but it will have to do. I've just sat through an hour of YouTube 4k uploads and am completely satisfied with the picture.
Audio, however, is a tad disappointing on two counts.
1- The built-in speakers are rubbish - well, what did I expect ? But feeding the Optical Output to my AV setup is highly satisfactory. DTS is OK, as are all other audio formats.
B- Lip Sync lag - there is *significant* lip sync lag. Lips are moving after speech is heard, and the adjustment had to be quite a way up the scale. Now it's fixed, it's brilliant.
I've set the TV up as wireless onto my network, and all net based stuff is really fast (happily I have 100MB/s from VM).
Youtube and Netflix have their own buttons on the remote, Youtube is fast to respond and easy to navigate. Can't comment on Netflix as I dont have an account, not sure if I ever will.
18 apps built-in including BBC iPlayer which is also fast to respond and easy to navigate. The TV needed a firmware upgrade to get iPlayer, but it set itself up within about 4 minutes.
The 4k upscaling is pretty nice, cant see any artifacts on any of my DVD or BluRay rips.
I've yet to plug in my 2TB HDD to play directly off it, but if it is as good as the rest, then I have no worries
All in all, for £300 plus 28 quid for a 6 year warranty from Richer Sounds, I'm well happy.
