Umm, I dont actually enjoy loudness the only reason i ever have music on loud is because the bass doesnt come out at the level i want it to unless i turn everything else up

Which is quite the universal dilemma with me and portable music in particular

    Actually, none of the above

Bit of a free spirit, elitist, perfectionist (), i suppose my ears are tuned to the volume a notch or two below uncomfortable. I can hear the change quite clearly. Its probably more about and unbalanced sound than anything

I always get sudden "adrenaline rushes" and decide to fire up some music at silly levels. It's enjoyable

I think my tendency to listen to music very loud is slowly causing me to become deaf, so I've cut back a bit! Seriously though, I do sometimes have trouble hearing what people say, and I do notice that when I listen to music now it needs to be louder to seem as loud as it did before. Not by much, thankfully, but I'm cutting back on the loudness before it does become a problem!

As a DJ, my hearing is very important, thats whyi keep the volume as low as i can when praticing so that i dont damage my hearing just praticing. I'm also thinking about investing in some musicians earphones which cut the volume by 25 Db accross all frequencies.

Your hearing is too important to damage for the sake of a few years of mind blowingly loud music

another issue is often that cheaper amps need the mid to high volume to move the cones they are powering. Speakers are often quite hard to "drive" in pre built systems like Midi Hifi's so that they cant be "blown" by the owner.
