Flash players

After coming so close to ordering a shuffle ive decided i was tricked and im about to order a real flash player. Im after a 1gig player with radio, small and durable.
The contenders are:

Creative muvo n200. £115
Creative muvo slim (looks really nice) £115
Sandisk mp3 player £105

Anyone got one of those hong kong ebay jobbys? What are they like?

The main disadvantage of the slim is that it doesn't take "normal" AAA batteries, so when you run out, you can't just pop a new one in.

I always prefer AA batteries in protable devices, unless the built-in batts are reliable and long-life like minidisc.

Bit of a no-name although a review mentions it could be a samsung clone.

Not sure wether to go for a flash player like this or pay twice as much for 5 times the capacity, similar size and better quality

I saw that one a while back but on ebuyer i looked at it and thought it would be big and square, i looked at some reviews and its TINY. Think im gonna look into this one as it looks like a winner.

Im a bit confused by your last line there, how can you have 5 times the capacity at a similar size? The reason im looking at flash is the battery life is good (my old ipod used to have to spin up when i skipped a song, using battery), they are small so i can take it everywhere, and durable so they wont break when you drop it like a hard disk player.

Just to point out it seems like that player is usb 1 only, which could slow it down quite a bit.
Its a difference of 25 quid between that and the muvo.

5x the capacity for £170 = Rio Carbon, similar mass(size), better shape, 5GB mini-hard drive. 20 hour battery life.

Well if your going to spend £150, look at the zen micro. 5gb, 20 hour battery life fm radio and incredibly sexy.

Yeah, do look at the micro, i myself prefer the Carbon though. Its still the only one that reviewers have stated has a chance against the mini.

That is pretty nice, seems like they are finally getting good designs.

I still dont like it enough to buy it though , I think i may have to wait for Sony's next round of players.

If i had plentry of music the zen micro would be my first choice.
