I seem to recall reading something along the lines of it originally being Video and then 'officially' changed to Versatile when they realised they could use them for other stuff as well?Digital Video/Versatile Disc blurb...

Best movie of all time? Natural Born Killers... hands down no contest! second runner up Night of the Living Dead the orginal (black and white)
a film called KIDS is my favourite film of all time. it shows the darker side of teenagers, and also conveys a damn good message of what drugs and unsafe sex do to people's lives.
if war is the answer, then we are asking the wrong question
2 things i hate the most - xenophobia and the french
"chuffing"
It'd be between NBK and fight club personally, but there are so many other good movies
Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Shawshank Redemption, The Matrix are all masterpieces in their own rights. Cant really say which is the Greatest of all time.
such a hard thing to do; come up with an 'all time great' but i have placed mine in a few easy to understand categories:
first up; Star Wars
for being simply awesome in virtually every respect, fun story, cool looks and lets face it who wouldn't want to fly an x-wing/millennium falcon or death star for a livng now eh? so i think Star Wars has to have its own category of raising the bar or Sci-Fi.
next its the Matrix
for utterly warping our perspective on life as we know it. especially about why everything tastes like chicken. stunning visually and amazing story. has to be up at the top of the pile for just being "WOW"
and finally its The Lord of the Rings (all of them, despite having not seen ROTK I KNOW it'll be jaw-droppingly fantastic)
so for jaw-droppingly amazing battles (even better than Gladiator) fantastic scenery unparalleled anywhere in movie history, complete with MASSIVE cast - oh yeah, and a personal favorite; Gollum - its got it all, travel, adventure, action, love (urgh!) and looks good too (bit like me only better!)
others include 5th Element, Leon and i know its not a film i just wanted to mention the Simpsons for being everso accurate about the quirkly little things in life

It's between The Matrix and Fight Club for me, because both are movies that make you think, question a little, though The Matrix moreso than Fight Club, I say.
How can any of you say LOTR? Sure, the amount of work put into them is impressive, but they left out huge massive parts of the books. That, as well as a love story that wasn't in the books (I don't care what they think Tolkien implied - I saw nothing of it) and Frodo's "rescue" from Nazgul over the river on the way to Rivendel (I'm sorry, but is Frodo some wuss in a story where everything just happens to him? They sure make it look like it) are things that are completely unforgivable, in my eyes.
The Third Man. Nuff said.
The Caped Crusader :-)
