I think it looks pretty cool, can't wait to hear how big the Hard drive is going to be.

Its a shame that there freesat service doesnt have a better channel list, worce than freeviews IMO, i'm not sure if it woruld be porth shelling out for one of them unless your wherer gonna pay monthly for sky, but then alot of people do. The 80 iirc in the old sky + boxes alwased looked abit on the small side to me, espechaly if you wanted to store programs for some time. I would expect that HDTV resolutions are gonna use up alot more space. 300gb would make me happy, and an ethernet port so I could streem files to computer, or other sky boxes. The things of dreams.

Do you honestly think they are going to let you record TV shows to your PC out of the box?

Man that's chunky...what's Sky doing? Picking up 10GB drives on the cheap and sticking together in a cheap array? Wouldn't suprise me...

I can see it costing about £50 a month to have a sky HD box and I bet they stick a 100GB HD in there as well.

Now just need to wait for the Plasma's to come down in price.

No, i expect its all in a funny formatt or something. Hence the "things of dreams" comment i slaped on the end for good measure.

Any one fancy sticking there skyplus HD in there pc and seeing what happens.

VOD is good. Homechoice is now maturing more with its VOD system. I just hope they go HD too!

I don't want VOD for a few select programs though... I want the ability to record anything I want, whenever I want That's why I bought my Freeview PVR

My DVD recorder links with the 7 day planner on my tv with freeview. Very effective as a PVR, especially when using dvd-ram disks.

can you actually record *anything* you want with sky+? i woudl have thought they restricted pay per view stuff.. i would have thought that vod will expand to let you have anything eventually,in order to compete with sky+.

i'd much rather have vod and a decent selection of channels than tivo on freeview
