    Sure thang

Just out of curiosity, how well do convertor rings perform? As in, I had the opportunity to get the Sigma 50mm macro f2.8 at a fair whack cheaper than what I paid, but with a Canon mount...

I was unsure of the implications, so steered well clear, but just for future reference...

    The Sigma arrived today.

Not had a chance to test it out properly, but first impressions are pretty good. AF could be faster, and is pretty loud... But that's OK. It tends to hunt a lot in lower lighting conditions, but the MF is very good, so that's not too bad, either (although useless for anything moving a little & in lower lighting...). I've also discovered that the built in flash is useless if you're close to your subject... The lens protrudes a lot, and as such gives a nice shadow when you use the built in flash >.<

A couple of random test shots, all taken at F2.8 :

And a quick snap of my monitor, 100% crop, here
