My A level exam piece (It got me an A :D)

I think I got 112/120 for this, so I deserve to be smug about my only A so far!




Very pleased as I worked from pictures I took with my old camera phone, and printed them off on economy mode on a black and white laserjet :/ I got a C for my GCSE art so this makes a welcome change

Thats what I thought when I was drawing. I drew it, and I was like 'wtf' and questioned myself about the accuracy of what I drew. Turns out that it's infact quite accurate



It may be hard to see in the picture that my head is facing slightly up. However I had to mess about with the shadings of some parts, to try and make it more reflective upon the environment I drew myself in. And thats the full resolution exact picture that I worked from. And since it was printed in economic mode on the laser printer, it was SO hard to draw minor details such as things on the eyes that I simply had to make it up.

I also made the eyes far bigger, as stated in the coursework, that I wanted the eyes to be the absolute centre of attention, and for the emotion to be flowing from them

Thanks for the comments! It is A2, but then cropped for a more panoramic effect by snipping 5 or 7cm off the top and bottom (so 10 or 14cm combined). It's actually far smaller than I remembered, as I never saw it cropped - I finished it and my teacher said she would do it. To me it looked absolutely huge.
