Sky Upgrade?

We have normal sky in our front room but me and girlfriend want another sky box adding to our bedroom. We don't really want to get Sky+ as when we move we will be getting Sky HD.

Do Sky still do multiroom, on the normal boxes? If so how much does it cost?

I'm pretty sure they do, we looked at it once but decided not to.

I think it's and extra £10 per month - That was a while ago though, might have changed.

Have you considered getting a wireless video sender. They're cheap as chips these days. It would work as a stopgap until Sky HD comes out. Also I'm not sure how the contracts work if you know you're moving house. They might get funny about it.

you could send an RF feed from your box up to your room into what people call a "Mouse" which is a little IR reciever and buy another remote - so you can control your box downstairs from in your room and obviously watch tv in your room.

Yes - but you would be able to change the channel from upstairs - it does mean that you cant watch 2 different programs but it means youve got use of your skybox in more than one room.

FYI, you should be able to get them to move the existing box into the other room and install Sky+ in the living room (with mirror sub) for the £49 you mentioned + £10/month.

There's a thread about it on the DVDForums I think (although I think their site is down at the mo)

Because we have not got any premium packages like sports and movies we would have to pay £20 a month. Not really worth it.
