    SAMSUNG LE32R51BD - saftey problem?

I got my new TV in december, the first one I had went wrong in the first 10 mins with the colours going nuts, pink fuzz around menus and such so the same day I got a replacement.

All well and good since then until 10 mins ago I got in from work and...

Apparently it has some dodgy caps and will require a PCB replacement, if they go you will get "a popping sound and a smoke emission".

The letter states to "stop using the TV immediately" and call product support.

The affected models have a A or a B after the Y in the serial number.

Mine happens to have an A, flipping great.

Hex, I think so, as when I called she asked if it was the 26 or 32" but not the 40".

It's a product recall, I'd expect similar messages to go out from whichever retailer you purchase the set from.

Indeed, at least they've sent the notice out, which is probably more then you'd get from quite a few of the other retailers that are around.

Fortunately the guy came around and my PCB did not need swapping, so he was in and out in 5 mins.

Also re mastercare, in all honesty I have not been able to find fault, took 4 days to get a guy out, but they did say it would be Monday and that I could use the TV as even if the caps went changing the PCB would fix it, and the guy rang on time and turned up bang on time.
