Gonna test a Sound Card ...what shall I play?

Tomorrow I shall be removing the Audigy and installing a Revolution 7.1 sound card in my PC.....then the Sennheisers will be on my 'ead and I shall listen to some tracks.....

If anyone has any suggestions......HIT ME....

want vocal range, musical class, and all the frequencies covered.

I would say listen to what you normally listen to Zak, if you are happy with the way it sounds then you are laughing. It does not matter if it's great at music that you are never gonna listen to, and just "not bad" for the music you are into.

When I went to get a pair of headphones, the bloke "helping" me was a nightmare. I told him I listened to 99% metal and he kept suggesting headphones by saying, " these are top of their class with classical and jazz" or "These have great mid & high range quality" When I said I want something with a bit of bass and low end sound he said "oh, you like dance music" I gave up and went else where in the end.

Just try anything you can think of.
Set all the volumes and everything to how you would normally have it and listen to the type of music you normally listen to.

try iron maiden -number of the beast -run to the hills and the trooper for starters then hav a bit van halen eruption for the bass
try a touch too much by AC/DC or any metallica track off and justice..and just too bring it up to date blast a little of dj sammy's heaven

Inner City Life by Goldie. Apparently a lot of professional sound engineers use it for testing equipment. Great vocals and crisp beats.

Under the influence by The Chemical Brothers is always a good one for testing out the bass response.

Classical is always good for testing out equipment too.
