APO (not an acronym, it just is shorthand for apochromatic, meaning non color fringed) qualities promise better color registration and that can mean a lot when the extra enlargement factors of digital cameras start digging into the image.

i have a colour fringe removing tool that i puchased for $10, but i've forgotten which disk i saved it on..

the APO version is quicker at focus as well.. if you got the APO version for 92 then you got a hell of a deal nick!

went to a falconry in scotland last christmas and took some harris hawks out along with the snowy owl at the top. So much fun. And went hunting rabbits with them. These pics bring back memories.

worry not, CS2 can remove it too, under filters>distort>lens correction
a bit of deft adjustments and you'll be fringe free - plus you can save the amount you adjust things for easy retrieval later
