Got a new baby on the way, and I want to get a little video camera so the grandparents can bore all their neighbours. I'm after something which will talk to an Apple, so it has to talk firewire/usb.
Recommendations?

Depends on how much you're wanting to spend. I only did research in the budget end of the market, so if you're in that end then the Canon models seem to be the best. I recommended a Canon MV890 to my sister, and that seems to be quite good. Quite grainy image when it's dark, but I think this is fairly standard on sub £500 camcorders.
Anything outside of the £150-£250 bracket and I'm afraid I haven't got a clue!

You may be able to find it cheaper, you never know!
Yeah, the budget end of the market suits me just fine. I'm not going to be shooting any epic movies any time soon!
