Please don't ask about competitor's products in the Corsair section.

Just FYI, OCZ is no longer making and selling DRAM. Not really a valid suggestion, especially here in the section for Corsair support. Perhaps you should address your concerns to SCAN in the proper section.

I believe Scan sells Corsair memory because Corsair offers very good customer service and RMA turnaround time whenever needed.

    Re: Cost of Corsair RAM

Hynix are one of the chip manufacturers, like Micron etc, so you wont buy a Hynix branded ram (as far as I know) but you will buy Hynix chips on several brands models

Buying Hynix from one brand may not be the same as another brand, as there are numerous specifications of chips, and the brands will then "bin" the chips they buy and sell with a spec they are comfortable with.

    This is not correct.

There is plenty of Hynix branded memory in the world. Again, this section is for supporting Corsair products please.

    Re: Cost of Corsair RAM

To be fair, prices have gone up because they have gotten much better with much better components, yes you may be able to get 8gb of silverline for £30 sometimes, but they are terrible quality compared to what corsair uses, I understand their prices, and I love their service
