Got my replacement Corsair HX520 recently and it works perfectly with my DFI motherboard. I guess it was a strange problem with the old one (worked but caused problems and wouldn't boot my DFI board) but this new one working fine means the old was definately faulty which is good to finally know as the problems I had were driving me insane.

Thanks for all your help Yellowbeard.
