Looking for a decent cooler that can hold up some overclocking.
I was looking at:
Zalman CNPSX10-Optima
Coolermaster Hyper 212.
Any others which may be very good for overclocking?
To cool FX-6100 4.5 Ghz+ overclocking
thanks

Seems expensive.
Stumbled across Xigmatek Gaia. This a decent cooler?
Xigmatek Gaia (£22)
Coolermaster Hyper 212 (£22)
Coolermaster TX3 (£19)
Zalman CNPS10 Optima-sharks fin (??? £24 scan)
Found these lot, which would cool the best?
The gelid tranquillo is on offer at overclockers.co.uk atm
Have a look at frostytech.com website as they specialise in testing heatsinks
You can also pick up Megahalems for around 20quid either used for being sold off.
Can pick up Corsair H20s for around the same used also.

would also suggest taking a look at the Gelid, its very good and for the price is tops!
Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 Pro
Well I had a look on Frostytech.com, Megahalems is the best go, but it looks like most of the Xigmateks are the way to go from the thermal tests.
Thanks for the suggestions
Arctic Freezer 13, Standard or pro. Avoid the Freezer 7 though.
Arctic Freezer 13 would be suitable.
Looks like the Freezer 13 pro it is then. By the way can you also have dual fans? I would rather maximum performance, if you can have dual fans that would be very very good.
My FX-6100 reaches 70 degrees overclocked full load. So definitely need something cooler, would dual fans using the Freezer 13 Pro be a wise choice then?
I decided to go for the Xigmatek Thors Hammer because it was only £18 going to use dual fans with it.
The cooler master hyper 212 evo is a pretty decend cooler aswell
I know I started this thread long ago but bit of a waste starting a new thread.
Case is still the same, Coolermaster iTower 930. I have replaced all my fans for the Xigmatek XLF-F1253 (orange LED, 61 CFM) and a 220mm side fan (76 CFM).
Because of the AM3+ socket I can only position the heatsink vertically. How should I go about setting up my fans to get the best airflow?
My PSU is at the top, and I have another fan at the back. So I have two exhaust fans there. But which way should I have my fans on my heatsink? At the moment is pulling air in from inside the case (right next to my graphics card) and exhausting out VERY close to my PSU.
My 220mm fan can only be mounted so its an exhaust, but because of the holes you can't feel much air, I don't know if its because it runs at 800RPM or if because the side panel isn't designed for side fan mounts. Anyway, my CPU temps hit high on Prime95, and to do some overclocking I need the coolest possible airflow for it.
I have a Xigmatek Thors Hammer, its massive and I don't see why it cannot cool it down. I have my fans set manually, so they only spin up to their highest speed when the CPU hits 50c, it isn't enough. Is the airflow correct? Or is it because my fans on the heatsink aren't pulling/pushing enough air?
Thanks
