    They both need to be the same way up on either side of the rad.

    Really you need 4 fans though, otherwise you'd be better off just doing push or pull.

    I'm still not sure about the fan rotation direction. I'll have 2 fans on one side of the radiator and 2 on the other. I know how to position the fans for the correct air direction but what difference does the fan rotation direction matter? Should all 4 fans have the same rotation direction?

    They should all be sending air in the same direction. So all you need to do is make sure that they are pointed the same way. Look at your other fans - it should be clear which way is which by the way the blades curve.
