I just had a call from Apple - 2nd in 2 days asking me about my iMac experience, so I unloaded and told them - they firstly tried to sell me Leopard which I bought on the same account as the Mac so their system should have told them that.
They asked me if I had any niggles, and I said 'Yep' anyhow - the second I said this he had no idea what to say. It's like when a waitor asks you if your food is okay and you say 'no' they need to have a follow up and not expect everyone to say things are fine.
They then asked if I had any hardware problems, and told me about the £30 or something per call which Apple will charge me to speak about technical problems, I said yep its ridiculous and they tried to sell me Apple Care. I'm all for upsell - don't get me wrong, you can often get good services flagged to you which you didn't previously know about... However, calling me up and stating the company charges a lot of money is nothing but scaremonger tactics. I told them I knew about Apple Care, and he said - your technical support runs out tommorow (Ed - I've had a Mac 90 days? Wow....)
I informed them of the fact that my iPhone seemed to fail to charge perfect from the Mac - his response - you have an iPhone? Wow - is it good?.
