So, if you read my last blog post - E3 was awesome, really enjoyed it. Got some good business tied down there, too
Taiwan - I was in Taiwan too long (well, it felt too long - missed home) but it was constructive, especially the time after the show. I was in Taiwan for Computex in the first week. I then went to China for a few days and then backtracked for some more stuff in Taiwan. I'd like to thank all the people we spent time with; it was good to finally meet so many of you. I will not talk about the bottles of whiskey and PD, or the monkeys and Tarinder.
I would like to thank the guys at the INQ and THG for vandalising our booth and then telling the world It was great to have somewhere to meet people, and thanks to so many people for checking it out.
Life at home - well, it's good to be home.... I spent last weekend tidying out the car, and risking life and limb kite-buggying (Yes, I will think of Nick's kids, PD....)
I have to say - I have worked out why you shouldn't run a publishing company - many of you will know I live in an old pub. This weekend I spent time cleaning out the cellar, which I have used for storage. I managed to make 9 trips to the dump emptying out loads of old rubbish and tat from it. It's been "sort-my-place" weekend. I've also tidied the garden, the outhouse, and the storage upstairs....
Technology-wise, I have finally completed a new software build on my Media Centre PC, which I have used since being back from Taiwan. My main rig is now a Conroe-based machine running Vista/XP. I've got to say that these chips are so pretty damn nice to use in a desktop enviroment (and so are other Quad CPUs...).... I am going to move to dual Woodcrest when I get a chance...
.... Anyway, i thought I would update many of you.
