Anyone running Team Fortress 2 on a 9800GTX?

    Hey,

I fired up TF2 last night for the first time in a while, looking to have a play with the new game mode (is it any good?) but it borked my machine after a couple of minutes.
I wasn't even in the game, just adjusting the resolutions in the menu. It did this twice, bombing out to windows each time, then after a few minutes actually playing I Alt-tabbed out and couldn't get back in! (Tried to fire up WC3 after that and my PC hung completely! First time since I built it!)

The only thing I've changed since playing before is switching graphics cards from my x1900xt to a 9800gtx (latest drivers) and just wanted to rule out the change in graphics card as the problem.
Anyone else running TF2 on a 9800GTX having issues or is it just one of the updates that's gone screwy on my PC?

    Cheers.

Err, no. Wasn't planning on either! Is there something I should know?
I haven't had any problems with anything else, but I've really only played Gears of War, Soulstorm and WC3 on it since upgrading the card.

There is a chance that changing companies causes corruption or stability problems, due to the driver remains. If you did a thorough clean out before installing the new card you should be fine, but in some cases only a fresh windows install will get rid of the gremlins from such a switch.

Re: Anyone running Team Fortress 2 on a 9800GTX?

I did uninstall the ATI drivers beforehand but I can see how it could be an issue.
Well I tried again tonight and managed to play for an hour without issue this time (although there was another steam update to download).
To answer my own question the new game mode is great fun
