If you go via this link ( http://www.spore.com/sporepedia ) you don't have to log in to browse the creatures. Also you can just drag the images out of your browser straight into the creature creator to use them.

yes, the full game gives access to all creators

from the startup screen, click "create" instead of on a galaxy, and it'll show you all the creators you can use. the creature creator's one of them.
