Now this is very funny. companies like ubisoft moan and complain about pc piracy and what does Ubi do on there latest update? use someone else's crack to crack there game and release it has an official patch LOL

They won't have released a crack at all, they'll have just released their own exe before the security wrapper goes on it.

The last 2 patches for silent hunter 4 didn't reqiure the disc to be in, and didn't require an online connection for the game to launch.

It's really nice, and i don't expect that the games with this feature have been copied any more than any other game with copy protection.

Heh, they stole from the pirates...irony! Though I'll admit to using No-CD cracks for games I bought when I had my laptop; not having to use the disk cut down on luggage when traveling and saved battery power. ^_^ They do have their legit uses from time to time. But still, this is pretty funny.

We’re looking into this further as this was not the UK Support team that posted this, however if it is an executable that does not need the disc I doubt it has come from an external source. There’d be very little point doing so when we already own the original unprotected executable.

As soon as we find out more about this we’ll let you know.
