    Guitar Hero/Rock Band kit

    Hey all,

Am I the only one frustrated with the way this things between rockband and guitar hero has panned out? Im glad that the new release will have compatibility between games but now im left with a redundant drum kit, microphone and 3 guitars (2x GH and 1x RB). Surely, this should have been thought out before they released these games?

Im now left with all of this kit, which I can probably sell tbh, but this could have been avoided if this had been thought out prior to release. It would have made more sense for Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft to approach a 3rd part company to make a kit which was multi compatible, that way you dont end up with redundant stuff when new games come out. Something that uses new guitar necks as the games advance (with 2 sets of buttons for strumming and tapping) and a drum kit with USB capability for further attachments.

Im sure they have thought about this, but oh, this wouldnt have made them as much money.

Anyone want guitar hero 3, aerosmith and rock band full kit for the wii? Nope, thought not :|

    Cheers

For Xbox/PS3 owners at least they can use guitar hero stuff on Rock Band, means I know which band kit I will be getting

    Re: Guitar Hero/Rock Band kit

I think im gonna ebay my stuff over the next few weeks and just get Guitar Hero World Tour when it comes out. But not for the Wii, I think ill just end up getting the PS3 or Xbox version.

I should get a decent bit of cash towards GHWT, but ill not get my nigh on £200 I paid for them all (if not slightly more)

    Re: Guitar Hero/Rock Band kit

Its true that the compatibility between GH II/III and rock band kit sucks, but luckily the new guitar hero has been confirmed to work fine with the current rock band kit (guitar/drums/mic), so if you have rock band already then you should be fine for the new guitar hero

Thats for the PS3/Xbox 360 anyway - not sure on the wii off hand.

Where did you buy from to pay 'nigh on' £200? A few people got theirs from Game or Amazon, each at £150...

    Re: Guitar Hero/Rock Band kit

Sorry if my post was confusing, what I mean was I paid nigh on £200 for GH3, GHA and Rockband. If I sell them all to get GHWT, then ill probably only get £120-£130 for them all so ive lost out.

    Feel slightly ripped off

Oh, right... where did you buy from to pay £200? I coulda sworn all that would be quite a bit more.
