i have one of them. Every bit as good as my desktop for gaming! Yet to find a game it can't play!

It will cost you but when it comes to laptops and gaming you have to pay.

Good luck lugging a desktop pc about... lol

For that price you could have a gaming desktop and a car to carry it in

Looks well nice, me wants .
I'd prefer the Samsung that's also cheaper. The MSI has a higher res screen, but that's only going to put even more demands on the 8600 chip. It's also a lot chunkier and has less ram and hard drive space. But it certainly worth a look - there are a lot of laptops in this price range that are very good value and quite capable of doing everything except hardcore gaming.

Ah, i just liked the look of it . Didnt look at the screen but would be a nice thing for films i guess, if the samsung is lower then its better if its the same sorta price.

Re: Gaming - Laptop or desktop?

If you are gaming on the move - Laptop. But remember, you'll need power everytime cause your battery won't last at all.

For home - Definately get a desktop. Because you've got room for upgrade and also the nice view on a big LCD monitor. Personally I don't see the point in a laptop in the home for gaming. It would cost too much and with the rate that tech is moving at the moment, it will be out of date before you've even completed some games!
