Dragon Age: Origins and steam

I have steam, but I got the retail copy of Dragon Age: Origins. Is there any way I can sort of, link it up to steam? So it will record my achievements, show how long I've played, etc?

This works with TF2 - I bought the retail copy but it installed through steam. Any way I can do this with Dragon Age?

Tried the "Activate steam game" thing, but it didn't work.

Edit: Found a thread via google, apparently you can only activate retail copies of valve games with steam. Pretty rubbish, oh well. Guess you can just delete this now.

only specific games can be added via key

if the key doesn't work then you cannot add it to steam sadly

Ahh ok then. Was just about to add that my retail copy of Lost Planet activates on steam, but you answered that question before I even answered it .
