this may sound a bit nuts but create a new user account (limited if possible) and retry loading the game.

Damn, I had the exact problem! I didn't hesitate in getting hold of a crack. I don't have time to play with cack like this from DRM.
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...

As I said I *think* it was Ubisoft a while ago, distributed the Razor crack via tech support to fix some people's issues with the DRM

And then had a massive cover-up when someone looked at the code for the exe they were sent and it had Razor1911 written somewhere in the middle of it.

Re: Wrong disc inserted error - SecuRom game

Things like clonecd and clonedvd also run in the background and can cause problems with Securerom.

Run msconfig and see what is starting up with windows, remove things like anydvd, clonecd or clonedvd software, itunes etc and restart

If it is clonecd or clonedvd running beside the clock there is a setting you have to disable with a right click on the icon then select it (cant remember which one it is though off the top of the head)

Re: Wrong disc inserted error - SecuRom game

    OKay problem solved.

The game was battlefield Bad Company 2.

It wasn't a SecuRom issue but an installation issue. There were two important files missing from the game folder on installation. A .dll file and the .exe file. I had to have these sent to me to get the game to run.

I understand noone else had the issue, so hopefully there won't be similar problems with retail discs. This was a non-mastered copy so perhaps that's where the issue lies.
