Seriously. It's time to open up here How my brain works.
After a long ish VEF and dogfight session I normally can't sleep. So that's quite understandable. Takes a while to slow up. Lots of water and a bit of telly.
Through gaming history people have been affected a fair bit by games....and the more ya play, the more it can effect your brain. An example from my recent history...
Deckard and I played UT solidly on a LAN for nearly 5 hours.
That evening I went out for dinner with my family....while sat in a chinese restaurant, it occured that as people came into the room through a close-by archway, my right hand was moving "mouse style" toward them, all be it, on top of a serviette....and as I went to the buffet cart for a little more food, I felt my left hand, pushing imaginary arrow-keys to strafe and I actually found myself side stepping through a door way so I could see ahead.
lol ...its true....and it was a tad worrying...but this morning something a bit closer to home occured
I have the dubious pleasure this week of driving a Meriva, (a recent Vauxhall addition)
It has large, wide front winscreen pillars....("A" pillars) and a small amount of glass (a small quarter light window) and then a door pillar, and then the door window.
This morning, while negotiating a roundabout, I turned in quite tightly, as is my want, and as usual the car further around the roundabout, dissappeared from view behind one of the pillars....I continued my turn, and a split second later, his body shell emerged in my side window, and as is normal in a roundabout I began to think about unwinding the steering, to come off at the same exit as him.
Sadly, by now, my mind was in VEF
....and as his fuselage was going to dissappear for a short time behind my canopy frame, as long as he continued on that trajectory, I would be able to bring guns ...no ...canons at this range, to bear on him, just as he came back into view.....but it would be a snap shot as he would be there for a split second before going the other side of my air craft and out of view, the instant after.
This was about 2 seconds in total. I had discarded putting "lead " on him as he was close and out of view. A shower of lead in front of where he was about to appear was the best bet....and luckily I was in a bank, and not a climb, so I would not drop away before the split-second shot.
I therefore apologise to the entire row of people at the bus stop who got a very unfair blast of my car's horn, as I let loose several rounds into his exposed fuselage.....and I am sure he will be smoking even now as he pulls into his drive.
And to Vauxhall....sort out the visibilty you tarts.
