How did you fix the cutscene crash?

At first I got around the issue by skipping them (press Enter I think when they start and then there is an option to "Skip cinematic" before it crashed, but later I tried reinstalling it off the hard drive rather than off the disc, and for some reason that resolved the issue!

While searching for fixes online, someone else had success by changing their v-sync settings - it didn't work for me, but it might be worth a punt.

I reinstalled my version (as the game kept stalling at the same point). This time I managed to get past that section so will play through it more and finally get down to writing my review.
