Games Testers and Writers Needed: in 'ere pls guys

I've done it before where I've played a game, really enjoyed it, and then read a review - only to then think "Yeah, I guess that bit wasn't so good" and "Hmm, no they're right, there are loads of plot holes"

Way too easy to get influenced!

I got that fairly recently with Conflict Desert Storm on Gamecube. It was one of my favourite games on the GC and I completed it several times, trying to get all the promotions/skill level increases/medals and then found out it got relatively slated by most reviews Still an awesome game...

We could make it into a new reality TV show: the selected gamers could be put into solitary confinement before they receive their game and computer, and they have a big fight about it when they're let out after 48 hours of solid gaming...

My install has been running for 2h20mins and I'm still only at 20% - think I have a dodgy disk

task manager and end task mine got stuck at 1% for about 30 mins ended the task and the game had fully installed.

Tried that but it hadn't installed.

Now at 55% after 4 hours!!!!!

Took ages on mine too...... keeps locking the drive up and the intel drivers keep moaning that the device did not respond in time.... me thinks the copy protection on this is kicking in and causing some hickups.....

I think mine is too, do you have an LG DVD drive by chance ?

My installer stopped responding Sony DVD.

I'm going to try another drive later on, see if that makes a difference.

Kalniel's workaround for drive problems:

Copy the DVD to a hard drive folder. Run setup.exe from that folder.
