    Yeah, I have it now.

Alot of the levels from the first one has been rehashed and a load of new ones also added. Reason they done this is because of the vid sequence showing Hitman bleeding on his floor kinda thinking back on the things he has done in the past. You take control of the action while hes thinking on things and what he has done (Similar to Tommy in Mafia telling the police guy about what he has done for the mob and you control the story type thing)

Eg : First level, you start exactly where the first one ended with 47 killing his creator. You then have to escape out the sanatarium with the police arriving on the scene. So you are carrying on with the levels you see in a different way.

Graphics are about the same as the 2nd one, few extra lighting effects on it though through DX9. I find this one a bit more difficult than the previous 2 also, it has a very console type feel to it. You collect weapons etc but unlike the 2nd one, if you finish a level with them you dont get them to use on another level. It starts you off with all the basic weapons needed for a level, if you find soething new use it then lose it. Weapons screen is done on a rotating type thing you see alot of in games now (Similar to Tomb Raider where when you pressed left and right and the object rotated into view, helping give a console feel to it) Hitman moves a bit quicker during his sneak on this one thankfully, so it doesn't take 5 mins to get from one side of a room to another !

Its worth getting but I would wait till you see it 2nd hand then get it. Main novel thing on this one is killing with the meathook. All the rest is the same.

Dont get me wrong. Its still a good game but nothing new for Hitman. I think they incorporated the first games levels in this one as the first one wasn't available on the consoles so they needed to show people on the consoles Hitmans roots.

I personally think the 2nd one is definately the best out the 3.

Another example of the way things seem to be going is the Soul Reaver series. The first 2 were fantastic storytelling and graphics got better for the new hardware available. The new one Defiance is made for consoles with REALLY poor camera angles and a major console feel to it. This ruined the series for me personally as I loved the first two but feel Defiance is just so darned annoying to play as you have minimal control over the camera. Near the start you have to escape a tunnel going up over round the walls with rocks dropping away under foot etc. You cant move the camera behind you or anyway at all at this bit so having to do the jumps you end up hitting the back wall and falling to oblivion (Outside edge of platform and you land right close to the wall if in correct place) Only great thing about Defiance is the visuals are 10 times better than both the previous games, complete eye candy with fog and blurring effects. Gives it a really creepy gothic feel to it more than the first two did (first two did it really well for the technology available, not forgetting the storytelling the first two accomplished, that is one of the main reasons for loving the first two games so much).

So far with contracts I have messed with the training level but only end up doing the shooting and stealth bits. You can't do the sniper range at all as there is no sniper rifle in the area at all (Just had a revelation about collecting the weapons off the levels, wondering if they get put in the training room so you can go back to it once a level is completed and they will be there possibly ? )

First level itself is in a slaughterhouse, few different ways to get in and around the place. Thing is though its pretty easy to get caught even in disguise. At the start if you take the butchers clothes and forget to drop all youre weapons it started you with its level over within seconds of starting as you get searched on the way in. Once in take out the guard that comes through the left doors and somehow hide his body. To do this you have to take him really far past other guards and everything without being spotted (They seem to spot you a mile off) Its just so tricky. On the previous 2 you had ditches, manholes, loads of secluded areas and plenty shadows to hide people. These elements seem to be missing on this one. You just have to find a spot where no one patrols or wanders past even if it means dragging a body halfway across a level.

Like I said, its worth getting if you see it 2nd hand somewhere in the next few weeks but I wouldn't recommend going out and coughing up full price for it at all.

How many games are decent by the third one? Not many, they start to go down hill.

I mean look at Final Fantasy - they shouldn't have bothered making two, let alone 13 or whatever.

k ive played it now and its actually quite gd! weapons to end with from a level go on the big rack in training btw. Its not as gd as hitman i dont think cause u start with same weapons all the time and that does give it that repetative feel but there are loads of weapons lying about the levels and also sometimes up to 5 different ways to take out a target.

Still great fun to play as hitman always has been!

Oh my word, I hate that game. Climb up a huge cliff for 10 minutes, try to jump across a ridge, only to draw your guns instead of grab the ledge, and fall back down, having to do it all again.

    No thanks!

I guess I'm an FPS person, lol. I did like Hitman2 though, so I might give 3 a try.

Hitman Contracts was OK. I liked playing it and it was worth the money to me.

What I didn't like was how sluggish the game ran when using FSAA and post filtering. At first I went, "crap, another game going to run like sh _ t". Then I turned off FSAA completely and post filtering, went back in and this time I went, "now this is what I'm talking about". The game then ran as fluid as any game I have played, in the 90-100 fps range all the way through. Fortunately, this game didn't suffer too much visually from having FSAA off so it didn't detract from the game much. Some people swear by having the post filtering on but to me the performance hit just wasn't worth it.

All in all, a good game IMO.

Complete novoice to the Hitman series, have only just played the demo of Hitman Contracts. Have to say it did look very good, quite liked the weapon select menu, tomb raider style. Does seem to be a very intricate game, they have paid attention to detail, which is always refreshing to see. If i see it for £10 or so i would consider buying it, but dont think i would pay the full retail...£30 odd.

And have to agree with Mr Deluded - the GTA series does just keep getting better and better.

I have never played Final Fantasy, or seen the film, so have no idea what it is s about/like.

    Will.
