Overall tho... I was a bit dissapointed. I felt there was a bit of a lack of side quests (I did most of them) and frankly the ending has limited the replay value for me. I might fire it up to check out the 3 endings I haven't seen but I doubt it will get another play through.
Couple of things I also didn't like were the inventory (auto arrange button for the love of JC denton!) and the fact that you could only recharge one energy bar at a time, I think there should have been an aug to allow you to recharge 2 or 3 bars. I find the idea that as Jensen gets tired what he really needs is a twirl to get him back into the combat farcical.
Thats the thing Gaz, on Normal or Easy you can bunny hop all over the place. On the Deus Ex mode you go down in 4 seconds due to the charged floor xD
I'll keep trying it but for now gone back to an older save and working through again but getting all side missions too :D
Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
You just need to do the last level again from the point after the discussion in the control room. Speak to Taggart and Sarif and it unlocks all 3 endings. Mentioned their locale previously in this thread. Just save it before pressing a button then reload after watching each ending. My favourite one was the Sarif ending, very profound and makes you think.
I will play through it again, just not yet though. Cant wait for the DLC that is landing in October for it also.
Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
I did get all 4 options at the end, I just couldn't be arsed watching them all.
I did enjoy this game, however I don't think it lived up to the hype. They never do.
I am really really hoping that BF3 proves to be the exception.
Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
She has a typhoon? didn't even see her use that rofl
Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
How many hours are you guys taking to complete the game? I'm going quite slowly - done 2/3 main missions and about 5 side missions so far - but don't know just how slowly that is.
Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
I finished it at the 29 hour mark and only missed the cloak and dagger mission. I done some areas stealth and others I fired but only if I had to.
Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
I've given up on the other save, the older save, I am almost at the second boss again but this time found more side missions I missed first time and literally hacked all terminals/door/safes/computers and my XP is through the roof and I have enough praxis kits to nearly 90% turn on all the augs :D
Sort of glad I went back now :D

I had this a lot and my cause was down to the drive being heavily fragmented, I think even Edios make mention that the drive needs to be de-fragmented to get the best out of the game. I got all sorts of random crashes to desktop and lockups on FMV's sequences but I used Disktrix Ultimate Defrag which allows you to put certain folders to the front of the drive/partition. Seems to help DE:HR a lot. Might be worth a try. Also SSOA I had to turn off in the end as that would cause issue's. I assume it will be ironed out in patches.

DISK IS 0% defragmented. Tried switching off SSAO still no luck

When I get home I'll double check the settings I had to use as I had numerous issues with it always locking up or crashing until I made the changes. Pretty sure it needed the FXAA off and FSAA on instead. I'll double check for you and get back to you later this evening. Also needed to turn off the post processing option.
This is the thread I used:
http://forums.steampowered.com/forum...php?p=24623104
Got a few bits and bobs from Ferral about fixes (aimed more at ATi cards though)
Half way down the thread there are some links to Edios which have a few fixes. I can't say I've read anything as yet about game saves becoming corrupted or causing crashes. I did find a save corruption possible fix so might be worth a try :)
Quote:
In most cases of save corruption your save files still exist yet the game just don’t recognize them, right?
So copy your corrupted save files from your game save file directory to another directory (any directory you choose, create one if you want).
Now delete your original game save file directory entirely (mine is “my documents”->”ALI213?)
Launch the game and begin a new game. you now have to go through the entire conversation at the beginning of the game with megan, until you reach sarif’s office where you are ordered to use the elevator in his office.
Now the game creates a new save directory for you, with an autosave , and a new “user” and “saveindex” files.
Exit the game and go to the directory where you copied your corrupted saves earlier. copy everything (BUT NOT the “user” and “saveindex” files!!) and paste in the new game save folder (if asked to replace files do so).
You should now have in your game save file directory all your previous corrupted saves + a newly created “user” and “saveindex” files.
Now launch the game again. you can now press “load” and load an autosave. its description will say it’s from “sarif industries” (the beginning of the game) but don’t worry – load the autosave and see you have actually loaded the autosave from whatever point you were in the game before the saves got corrupted.
Don’t know if this method can be done on regular saves or quicksaves too, but autosave it works for sure.

Just killed the third boss so guessing I'm nearing the end now, he took 4 rockets so one more then her lol.
Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Just finished it! Best game I've played in a long old time. Watched all the endings - as usual for DE, moral greyness abounds! Loved the shot of Tony and the accompanying sentence.
