    Deus Ex: difficulty

Borrowed this off a mate at weekend - ive got past the intro and done the warehouse bit up to rescuing the hostage from the boss - but is it me or is it really really hard? ive died half a million times already and i always get caught when trying to sneak about - i think im more run and gun than sneak and hide i hate waiting for the guards and stuff to move but Im not feeling the love for it at the moment i loved the 1st one, at the time i kinda got the impression it didnt get the praise it deserved but this one im really struggling with

oh and the guy who voices the IT guy franics? doesnt he soud like KIT from Knightrider

    Re: Deus Ex: difficulty

I like to sneak and hack everything possible, currently i am in the level where you just outside your office block. Loads of sidemissions and loads to hack. Didnt have a problem yet, even though never used a gun so far, only sell them for what that thing called that upgrades your skills. Hardest difficulty as well. Deus ex original was better, even if you campare them now, at the time it was top game, a bit like system shock 2 if anyone can remember

Give it a couple more hours zulander, it's definitely on a par with the original in my opinion.

    Re: Deus Ex: difficulty

Instead of just run and gun why not shoot them with the tazer gun or dart rifle if you cant be bothered to wait for their patrol to come close again. I didnt find it that hard except the first 2 bosses created a difficulty spike and took a few attempts to get past.

Just bear with it, absolutely fantastic game

    Re: Deus Ex: difficulty

I think the only point I found the game difficult was the second boss as I had the wrong augment upgrades and the wrong weapons to deal with it. Other than that I found if you spent time searching every room and hidden area you got enough XP to unlock all augments and you became a little over powered by the end.

    Re: Deus Ex: difficulty

I played it on hard and in all honesty didn't find it that hard, some parts were a bit tough, but with some patience the missions aren't that hard.

Yeah, as long as you planned the room out and where you will be heading and any vents you use the game was a little to easy on the hardest settings, I just messed up with augments so went back to an earlier save, re did augments and the game was a breeze. Great game though, just not sure if there is enough there to warrant a second playthrough.

I started playnig with the intention of doing a secnod playthrough but in all honesty, I don't think that there is enough there.

Glad I played it stealthily too, tried a couple of sections with the frontal guns-out approach for a test and didn't find it at all satisfying by comparison.
