Half-Life made into a movie... ?

I dont know, if they wangled it into more story based (obviously) with the G-man and an Xfiles twist of aliens and government conspiracy while he has to fight his way out of the labs (ok that can get a bit tedious, but resident evil did it). It has the potential of a half decent flick, if done right and you dont get some obvious action hero to play freeman and dont end up with a cross between a music video and a terminator movie.

edit: actually the more i think about it the more i can see it being "hollywood-ised": No, he's a theoretical physist NOT an uber built, kung-fu able army guy in disguise. Yes, make him think and show off his intelect. He's more likely to outsmart them than outgun them.
Cool alien guns = the win, but only if done correctly (not talking ghostbusters here).

hmmm, mehbe have Toby Mcquire play him with the glasses on like in spiderman one, lol. But yeah government conspiracy etc, sounds good. And heres me thinkin youd all think i was st00pid for thinkin it would make a good film if done properly

lol iv'e just seen an advert on tv whilst browsing this thread. The advert is that Citroen advert, with the car under that big spotlight thing with the scientists holding those piggy banks. Well if you watch carefully, the very first scientist you see, the man with the clipboard.. He is the spitting image of a young gordon (just imagen him with thoes black thick rim glasses gordon wares), lol he could play freeman.
Now, who could play barney humm.. ?

look at what they did to Judge Dred as a prime example of what happens to comics or games made into films.

Umm Judge dread was a great film tbh, i really liked it =)

Spiderman1/2 - great films imho

LOTR - great set of films

cant think of any more off hand...the problem is usally the otherway round

I cannot think of any good games made from films...except for AvP1/2 =)

Spiderman, the LOTR games, Matrix game, Toy story games, shrek, all the Bond games after Goldeneye... need i go on?

I rkeon half life would make a great movie, providing the plot was padded out a bit

But Judge Dred didn't stick too closely to the comic did it ? The more I read some of the posts on this thread the more I'm convinced they'd cast Steven Seagal and turn it into an Under Siege type story.
