Ooohh nice. Looks like the game will be a machine killer - like the last one

Ha! The last one was a machine killer because the engine was so badly programmed
Thats partly what I meant, knowing bethseda, this new game will be bug city, hell it wouldn't be an elder scrolls games without bugs! Remember Daggerfall? You couldn't complete the game unless you got the patch!Originally Posted by MAS
Still won't affect my enjoyment of the game though! Love the elder scrolls games.
Wonder what they'll do with the Vampire and Werewolf elements in oblivion. In morrowind the Vampires had much potential but were left a little out in the cold and after a short series of quests you were left to you're own devices. Heres hoping they make them much richer in detail and make it so there is a point to becoming one.
The werewolf aspect of bloodmoon was better laid out with quests and cutscenes but, in my opinion, were a little short
OK! WHERE IS "MOURNHOLD"? How do I get there! I have spent many hours serching the map! Please help!
Oh good grief, you'll need to go to Ebonheart, and ask a woman (She's wearing a fancy robe) in the main building (Where Duke Vedam Dren is) about transport to Mournhold, thats the only way to get there until you get the Mazed Band.Originally Posted by myth

one of the best things about Morrowing WAS the wandering around...getting from place to place. I loved it...my life could so easily have got tied up in that.
Examples of WHY you should HAVE to wander around in a game like that
A: Its huge...massive...and beautifull. The scenery iin the marshy bits, the distant valleys and new trees and stuff to see, amazed me. The idea of "stumbling" across a new dungeon or cavern to early was all part of the adventure...I got whooped big time when I just wandered off.
The size of the cities was daunting at firs,t but I soon grasped them....but to run for miles and gain a small amount of fitness, to climb a steep slope, slipdown into a valley, barely survive and then have to wander for ages to get back out cos it was too steep to climb back out was....awesome
But best of all for me....to be given a quest, with instructions on how to find a cavern, and to follow them to the letter (ie walk out of the south of town, follow the road west, and then take the left fork....then climb the hill and look behind the rock.
B: the size of the towns, and the ability to recognise the signs was amazing.....and to GET tot he towns took AGES....night passing and day dawning...just awesome
C: Wild creatures to fight...you must wander to meet the first few creatures that you have to fight to learn any skills....humans will just tear you a new one in the ealry stages.
D: The ability for the programmers to add stories OUT of the towns gave it a multi direction facet...on the way from one town to another, you meet a bloke at a crossroads, who you can see from a fair way away, and who then aproaches and tries to rob you....just superb....
To move between AREAS of the game and see new scenes was beathtaking

Ahh, i remember Morrowind very fondly I must have spent in excess of 100 hours just pratting around!
I downloaded one of the MANY mods that gave me a nice house in Balmora, which had a basement with a few big tables for displaying weapons on, and a ton of manequins for hanging your armour on. I then became a collector, hunting down every kind of armour or weapon i could find, even killing important people to get their fancy armour Reminded me of collectin rares in Ultima Online *sighs whistfully*
On your 'to do' list
The place you need to go is the far end of Ebonheart, in the grand council chambers. She'll be on the first floor and you need to ask her about transport to Mournhold.Originally Posted by myth
Silly question, but I assume you do have tribunal installed and the pack activated?
yea its instaled and I asked them all and no one has any info on it... Perhaps I need to do something first...?Originally Posted by Zedmeister
After being attacked and talking to a guard, your journal should have updated to say that you should go to see xxx at Ebonheart (can't remember the name!). You should then see him walking the battlements, he's the one in an Adamantium suit of armour - have a chat with him, and he'll tell you to see Asciene Rane (I think - just the mage in the Chambers). After you chat to her, she'll agree to transport you to Mournhold. Ta-da!Originally Posted by myth

yep i loved morrowind too.spent days on that at a time.the getting stuck bugs were a pain at times but regular backups saved the day.
the next one should rock especially if the engine has been updated.
